How to Play
Climb The Ladder one legend at a time, state by state
The Goal
The Ladder features 32 AFL legends spread across Australia's eight states and territories. Choose any state to start, defeat its four legends, and unlock new regions as you climb your way across the country.
Gameday Challenge
Each gameday, you face your current legend. They present a historic stat line from one of their greatest games — stats like disposals, marks, goals, tackles, or clearances.
You get one attempt per gameday. Choose wisely!
Pick Your Players
Select 2 AFL players from the current gameday's fixtures. Their combined real stats will be compared against the legend's historic line.
- Players lock when their game starts — no changes after the first bounce
- If you lose, players from that attempt can't be used again against the same legend
How to Win
To defeat a legend, your two players' combined stats must beat ALL of the legend's stat categories.
Example:
Legend's line: 32 DI, 8 MK, 3 GL, 5 CL
Your players combine for: 38 DI, 10 MK, 4 GL, 6 CL
✓ You win and advance!
If you miss even one category, you lose and face the same legend again next gameday with a different historic game.

Defeat all 4 legends in a state to complete it and move on. Clear all 8 states to conquer The Ladder.
